When we first contacted Eric about our 1890 stick-style Victorian it was clear this wasn't going to be just another job for him. He prepares extremely detailed proposals describing each step — washing, scraping, priming, painting coat 1, coat 2, square footage — then reviews it with you before you agree. Once you agree, he executes accordingly so there are no unpleasant surprises. He might be the hardest working person I've worked with, painting 30+ feet up from 8am to 8pm and moving sides of the house to follow the sun so it wouldn't affect the paint. He even sent photos at the end of each day while I was on vacation so I knew the work was in good hands. Words that come to mind: quality, experience, dependability, integrity, and trust.
Perfectionist Painting is not hyperbole. Eric demonstrated an attention to detail we have not witnessed in any other contractor. He kept us fully in the loop, never showing up unexpectedly or making changes without confirming with us first. He worked quickly yet carefully and always left the work site clean. Where he distinguished himself most was his genuine care for us — he took extra steps to prevent lead contamination when we flagged it as a concern, and even gently relocated caterpillars that wandered into the work area after learning of our affinity for them. We cannot wait to work with Eric again.
